Morgan Nuth and Karen Broxholme are the first florists to join the Colombian Flowers Design team and will be leading the special Colombian Flowers installation at the Leeds Castle Flower Festival.
Morgan owns Old Oak Florist in Ealing, West London and Ascot, Berkshire whilst Karen owns Bluebells in Lincoln. Both are members of the Good Florist Guide and both have been buying Colombian Flowers for years as their ‘go to’ option for quality, colour and price.
The installation at the Leeds Castle Flower Festival is a unique and rather special Selfie Trail which will guide visitors (last year there were over 20,000) from the main marquee through to the Castle entrance; and feature four very different installations for visitors to take photographs next to.
Working to the theme ‘An Enchanted Castle’, Morgan, Karen and the rest of the design team will decorate a very large tree, evoke images of Narnia with a mirrored frame, make an archway fit for a Queen and a create a stunning wall of flowers using the brand new OASIS® Floral Foam Tile. Thereafter they, and other members of the Colombian Flowers team will be presenting demonstrations throughout the show … demonstrations that are all included free of charge in your admissions ticket which itself is valid for a year! Four dems and a castle full of flowers from over 20 different florists for under £25!
Cameras and video will be on standby to capture every moment to create tutorials and still shots of the work to show florists why switching to direct supplied Colombian flowers from a local wholesaler can make such a difference to their profit margins as well as working with some of the most lush flowers you can buy.
Commenting on the project Morgan said: “I love Colombian flowers and they’re on my weekly buying list at FleuraMetz so to be able to show them like this is brilliant. Having been to the Castle it is amazing and I can’t wait to get started!” A view shared by Karen who has been buying Colombian from RM Flowers in Nottingham for over 22 years. “Sometimes I don’t know the variety names, they just send me a selection because they know me so well but Colombian flowers are always brilliant and priced incredibly well. Cappuccino and Quicksand are two of my favourites in the coffee/cream range but for vibrancy you’d go a long way to beat Pink Floyd!”
